The ATHENA Lab
Dr. Richard T. Stone was recently interviewed by Grayson Schmidt of the Ames Tribune on his ethnographic approach to learning, teaching, and engineering.
Tom Schnieders, co-founder, lab coordinator, webmaster, and co-director of our ATHENA Lab received the Spring 2017 Research Excellence Award. The ISU Graduate College honors graduate students for research and teaching excellence, recognizing the “best of the best” graduating students who have submitted theses and dissertations and outstanding achievement in instruction.
Dr. Richard T. Stone and Thomas M. Schnieders were interviewed by Rachel Muenz of Lab Manager. The article was featured in the June issue of Lab Manager as well as on their webpage. The online version of the article can be found here.
After a fair bit of code tweaking, I have been able to deploy a new version of the calendar that falls in line with ISU guidelines and the current WordPress build. We will be switching to this new calendar by the end of the week and phasing out the old.
Brock Woessner and Luke Manwiller join the ATHENA team as volunteers. Brock is majoring in Agricultural Business; Luke is majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Both will be working with Tom on muscle wire and EMG.
