Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
The Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering (IMSE) at Iowa State University invites applications for qualified postdoctoral research associate position(s) in the broad area of industrial and manufacturing systems engineering. Candidates with expertise in Data Science (machine learning and big data analytics), Advanced Manufacturing (process control/optimization and light-matter interaction/simulation), or Complex Cyberphysical Systems Engineering are preferred (are highly encouraged to apply).
Required Minimum Qualifications
An earned Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in proposal development.
Demonstrated experience in high impact scholarship.
Demonstrated experience in collaborative skills.

The IMSE department has a history of excellence in advanced manufacturing, classical engineering statistics (including reliability, experimental design and analysis, statistical metrology, and process control), operations research and analytics, human factors and ergonomics, systems engineering and engineering management. It has collaborations in these areas across the Engineering College and University.
