Peer Mentor – Emma Stobbe

Year: Senior

Major/Minor: Industrial Engineering, Spanish Language and Culture for Professions minor

Hometown: Shoreview, Minnesota

Hobbies: soccer, cello, painting, watching movies, and growing succulents

Clubs and organizations: Women in Science and Engineering (WISE), Spanish Club, Honors College

Favorite memory at ISU: Playing pickup soccer at Lied Rec for like 4 hours a random Wednesday the winter of sophomore year.

Advice for new students: Never stop meeting new people. Not only does this make college a better experience socially, but the more people you know, the more resources you have for school (i.e. people to study with in classes, someone who has resources they can share, people to work with in group projects, information about classes etc.).

Interesting fact about me: When I wear contacts, I only have to wear one because my right eye is 20/20. I’d like to think I could rock a monocle.
