Julie Moren a student in Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering recently earned the "Future Scientists Program" scholarship's second place prize from Kelly Scientific Resources for her essay on the effect governmental scientific policy has had on the direction of scientific research. During the summer of 2009 Moren interned at the Ames, Iowa location of BASF, the largest chemical company in the world.
"Through her past work and educational experiences, it seems that Julie Moren is ready to ositively impact the science industry well into the future," said Michelle Bradford, district manager, Kelly Scientific Resources. "It is a pleasure to reward hard-working students, like Julie, for their contiuous commitments to the field of science."
