Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering

Giving to IMSE

We are committed to a process of continuous improvement in order to increase the quality of our education and research programs and become one of the best industrial engineering departments in the country.
Examples of ongoing initiatives include:

  • International education experiences
  • Hands-on learning in our laboratories
  • Problem based learning
  • Sustainability Research Initiative

These and other improvement activities need increased resources to support endowed program chairs and professorships, scholarships and fellowships for graduate and undergraduate students, and improved laboratories and facilities.

Be part of the tradition

The IMSE Department has a tradition of generosity from its alumni and friends. For example, generous gifts have been used to:

  • Establish undergraduate fellowships for continuous manufacturing
  • Initiate a chair in sales engineering
  • Support graduate research assitantships in sustainability
  • Provide scholarships for undergraduate students
  • Initiate endowed graduate fellowships

This type of support is critical in helping us achieve excellence in our programs.

Making a Contribution

Here are some opportunities for you to help us move forward.

  • Sustainability Chair

Endowing laboratories and facilities

These endowments help to develop and maintain research and education laboratories. You can create named facilities or support existing ones such as,

  • Manufacturing laboratories,
  • Computing equipment or software, and
  • Learning environments.

Join with other alumni

Helping the IMSE Department can also initiate you into the Order of the Knoll and the Marston Club where you receive recognition at special university and college events.
Order of the Knoll members join the club at total donations of $15,000. Marston Club members join at $5,000.
